This site is by and for all those who bear the name Zutt. 

Around five hundred people in the Netherlands are called Zut or Zutt, the half with one t, the other half with two t's.

Originally, both spellings are used interchangeably, almost certainly the same name. 

But from about 1700 shows the names and Zut Zutt clearly distinguished. It now goes to different families, although a few times for spelling errors. 

Families named Zutt live today mainly in the municipalities Harenkarspel and Amsterdam and also in Australia and Canada. 

On this site you will find a family history Zutt from about 1680 until now. The Guide is a genealogy or pedigree of a schedule a joint Tribe continues, from about 1820 in four main branches. These are named after the places which they specifically linked: WaarLand, Amsterdam, Eenigenburg and Warmenhuizen. 

The five elements are further elaborated in separate family sheets that are arranged by generation. 

But more than just names and dates on this family history would like to enumerate briefly describe who our ancestors were, how they lived and worked. Hence the subtitle "Chronicle of a family". Hence the numerous portraits and many pictures, especially of the families. 

Around 1990, Petran Kerstjens to collect the material for this family chronicle. Therefore, much research in municipal and regional archives. But for many, especially more recent data, the author dependent on the help of relatives. 

After interruption the work was continued in 2008, now with the assistance of Christina de Jong and 2011, of Henny Zutt. 

The site is still not ready. And the saga is not over. Much can be discovered and investigated. And later, history is happening now ......
